Please note!
Your right to a minimum wage and other benefits
You are entitled to the statutory minimum wage or a collectively agreed minimum wage applicable to your occupational group, plus collectively agreed supplements (in the main construction industry, for example, night work, work on Sundays/public holidays, work at height or with protective clothing).
MINIMUM WAGE
You are entitled to the statutory minimum wage for the duration of your employment in Germany. This currently (01/2026) amounts to EUR 13.90 (gross) for each hour worked.
Higher minimum wages apply in certain industries (currently, for example, roofers, electricians, scaffolders, painters)!
NO WAGE DEDUCTION
Your employer is not entitled to deduct costs incurred as a result of the posting (e.g. travel or accommodation costs) from your wages.
OTHER BENEFITS
Furthermore, you are entitled to certain mandatory supplements and other benefits.
In the construction industry, for example, the following supplements are mandatory:
- Sunday and public holiday work
- Night work
- Working at great heights
- Working with special protective clothing
- Working in difficult conditions (water, compressed air, heat, dirt, etc.)
Such supplements and benefits are also mandatory in other industries.
LEAVE ENTITLEMENT
In addition, employees are entitled to leave entitlement, leave pay and leave allowance in accordance with the generally binding collective agreement applicable to employment in Germany or nationwide legal regulations.
